This week we would like to showcase a tool we have been using now for about a year now that we can’t live without. The software/service is called Dropbox, and it allows you to effortlessly sync your files between your computers (Linux, Mac & PC), devices, and the internet.
You can jump over to Dropbox.com and create a free account that includes 2 GB of storage space. We have found this to be plenty of room to sync documents, images, and other files between our computers. After creating your account, you simply install a small piece of software that tracks changes to any files that you place in your dropbox (which is simply a designated folder). Not only do the files get synced up almost instantly between your computers, but there is also a copy available online that you can access from anywhere. Dropbox also supports versioning, so if you accidentally make a change or delete file and need to revert to an earlier copy, you can do so. There are a ton of other features, so head over to Dropbox.com and check them out!

Dropbox gets the Mint Seal of Approval for being a great, free way to sync, backup and share your files securely and effortlessly!
